Description
See everything from the Butch Cassidy Escape Tour and much more. You will take in the Arches and Slot Canyons of the West Side of the San Rafael Swell and follow them to Eagle Canyon on I-70. This is the last section of US Interstate Highway to be completed because of the difficulties of building in this spectacular terrain. You will continue South to see Hondo Arch, The Chutes of the Muddy River, and the extensive mining and geological exploration that characterized our search for uranium during the cold war. You will be able to see Capitol Reef, the Henry Mountains, Factory Butte, and Temple Mountain, as well as the area so desolate that it was chosen by the Mars Society to simulate living on Mars. From there you will follow the Flat Irons of the San Rafael back to the San Rafael River.
